Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes, along with Krauss were among the Grammy Award winners who were among the youngest. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July of 1971. Alison is a country and bluegrass artist. Her career in music began in the early years, winning local contests by when she was 10 years old before making her first recording when she was 14 years old. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and made her debut single album, a solo one in the year 1987. The group she joined was which she continues to perform, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in the year 1989.
